Hello! I am Yulia. I am a natural living and wellness advocate, entrepreneur, world traveler, YouTube creator and outdoors photographer. I am currenly working on obtaining my Health Coach Certification at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I want to help you to discover your path to healthier, happier and more balanced you.
What I have learned about natural living and put in everyday practice has entirely changed my life. I always thought I was relatively healthy, but when I took the giant leap of really taking wellness into my hands in the last two years, I realized just how much better things can be when you prioritize your physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
The truth is I hardly prioritized it before. I was too busy for it. I was focused on studying and graduating with honors, spending time with family, relationships, being a top performer at work and advancing in my career, traveling the world, house, finances. I worked at a top CPA firm, then corporate Finance, Business Analytics, Marketing and Product Insights and the demands of work were always very high and the hours – long. I didn’t want to just go with a job description and always worked hard on shaping my career path to be my dream job, but while it was exciting and motivational, it was also draining and stressful. In between, every single second of free time was spent traveling the world, with 32 countries and counting! Sometimes I think my amazing friends and family cared more about me than I did myself. My mom, for example, always asks about my health… more frequently than I actually think of it.

There is just not enough time in the day to take care of yourself. Life is so busy! But after I implemented changes and incorporated natural living and wellness practices, my life elevated. I want to help you to get there too and feel the difference.
Before this, I always has limitations. I have dealt with digestive issues since my teen years and had to avoid certain foods. I didn’t drink coffee or carbonated drinks for 20 years (soda, beer, champagne, even healthy kombucha). I was on medication and even hospitalized a few times with extreme abdominal pain – doctors thought it was acute appendicitis – but after lots of tests they kept finding nothing wrong with me. They would say things like “Bloating is totally normal”, “All girls get cramping and mood swings at this time of the month”, “Oh, don’t worry about that acne, all teenagers have it”, “Your skin feels itchy, here – take this eczema cream”.
I embarked on a journey to find the answers, educating myself on different aspects of wellness. Meditating, journaling, cleansing and juicing, and keeping a “Food, Mood, Poop, Activities” journal helped me to learn about myself.I started working with an incredible holistic doctor and after months of hard work and strict protocols was able to reverse most of medical conditions and food allergies.

And now it naturally became a part of my family’s life and doesn’t even feel like hard work anymore. We will never go back to who we were, only forward from here!
A conversation about healthy living practices can literally be endless, there is so much to encompass as our wellness is truly holistic and the factors impacting it – magically intertwined.
Now pretty much everyone is aware of the importance of nutrition, exercise, and community. Nutrition is a key ingredient because food that we put into our bodies results in how we feel physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. The way we move and stay active has a huge impact on how we show up in life. Community, family, and friends are a crucial support structure that helps you to succeed and learn from each other.
To me, the biggest piece for self-healing is interaction with nature. Unfortunately, in today’s overpopulated world and urban society we get less and less of that interaction. That’s why I have been such a restless traveller for years – at least monthly I have to go to a forest, walk barefoot, hug trees, listen to birds and silence, watch the sky to feel recharged and balanced again. And from here my passion for photography and film has soared, honestly, because I wanted to capture those moments and bring them home to be able to re-live that cleansing experience again and again.
If I don’t go to nature, I notice my mood shifts drastically. I could be eating healthy, doing yoga and meditation, spending time with loved ones, but if I don’t get outdoors to be with green grass and tall trees, I could easily lose my balance, become irritable, scatter-brained, sluggish and unhappy. There is certainly some magic in the connection we have with plants, trees, animals, soil, water, and air.
Home and work environments are so important in the amount of goodness they can deliver as well as potential damage they can cause. My family works every day on living sustainably and simply, raising those good vibes, eliminating clutter and “stuff”, minimizing chemical and electro-magnetic toxins, simplifying and embracing things and routines that we truly love while letting go off the rest. If you love your home, you will always have a place with positive vibes to relax and recover. If you love your job, you will not have to work a day.One of my recent life-changing experiences was traveling with my partner in a self-converted Mercedes Sprinter van this past year. It is such a unique experience of being outdoors while actually being at home.
Taking natural living practices and a comfortable healthy home everywhere was so priceless because they are equally important for our wellness and in the past we would temporarily sacrifice one or the other. With vanlife, I was able to do 4 days out of my 7 day juice cleanse during the roadtrip to Big Sur, Calfiornia (before vanlife, I wouldn’t have dared to schedule a juice cleanse while traveling).Living in a tiny space for a few months while traveling up the Pacific Coast and Canada forced us to re-evaluate things in life. It is the idea of simplifying and minimizing – you really don’t need much to be happy. It’s also a much more acute awareness of small space environment and how important it is to make it toxin-free. It is the practice of true living in the moment and learning every day how powerful it is.
I am always experimenting with homemade remedies and recipes. One of my favorite morning routines is creating a tea blend that sets an intention for the day or matches my mood. I love gardening and picking fresh herbs for our meals. I am incredibly grateful for the healing power of essential oils. And I have recently started getting into sewing, using organic and natural materials – I made my own bedding, mattress and pillows, and now honestly don’t know how I was living without them before. Gardening, recycling, zero waste practices, minimalism, mindfulness and yoga practices are among some of the other lifestyle choices my family made that have truly changed our lives.
I am so excited to be here to share my practices and tips to inspire you to get on your own self healing journey and to discover who you truly are.
